Our company – first time in the history of architectural projection – has published a tender for animation makers under the name Paint Up! Visualpower Building Projection Video Contest. The final of this event is going to be held at the Hungarian National Gallery at 10-12 pm 19th of June, as part of the Night of Museums program.

The architectural projection (professionally called video projection mapping or building projection mapping) is nothing else, but projecting such motion picture to buildings that suits the architectural elements of the building. The motion picture not just colours, but creatively uses and “moves” the certain building.

Those who attend the event on 19th of June will see a unique, exceptional sight in Hungary. We will project onto the facade of the “B” building of the Hungarian National Gallery on a nearly 1000 m2 surface. The “building-mover” animations with composed music will be in harmony with the architecture of the building.

The viewers will be able to see a real peculiarity besides the contest. World-class representatives of this genre László Zsolt Bordos and Ivó Kovács – the Hungarian audience may know them of their huge resolution 3D animation composed for the opening ceremony of the Dubai Palm Islands – in cooperation with Viktor Vicsek have made a presentation film exclusively for this occasion, and it is going to be projected as highlight of the night. The presenter will be Áron Kovács. Caramel also will perform on the event.

The enquirers can follow up live broadcast of the contest and its related events on TV2 online website until midnight, afterwards on the http://paintup.visualpower.hu site until 2 am.

Date: 2010. 06. 19. 10-12 pm (the films will be projected once more 12-2 am)
Venue: Hungarian National Gallery, Hunyadi garden
